Description:

As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll own your “zone” — completing 4–5 work orders per day within a 30-minute radius of the River North neighborhood (Rogers Park down to Woodlawn, West to Cicero/Berwyn). You’ll troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC filters, appliance issues, and more across scattered-site residential properties.

Schedule:

  • Standard hours: Mon–Fri, 9?AM–5?PM
  • Occasional emergency calls nights/weekends (bonuses paid per call)

What You’ll Do

  • Respond promptly to scheduled work orders and service calls
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain:
  • Plumbing (leak repair, fixture installs)
  • Electrical (outlet/wiring troubleshooting)
  • Carpentry (drywall, trim, door & window repairs)
  • HVAC basics (filter changes, thermostat calibration)
  • Appliance repair (washer/dryer, dishwasher, fridge)
  • Communicate clearly and courteously with tenants and property managers
  • Document work performed and close out work orders in our system
  • Escalate complex or recurring issues to senior staff
  • Maintain a clean, professional appearance and work truck
