Contents Cleaning & Restoration Technician

Are you someone who takes pride in cleaning and restoring order to a space? Do you want a job where your hard work truly makes a difference for people in need? At SERVPRO®, you’ll play a vital role in helping homeowners and businesses recover after fire, water, or storm damage. In this position, you’ll use your attention to detail and cleaning skills to carefully clean, pack, move, and restore the contents of homes and offices—making it “Like it never even happened®.” This is a hands-on role that requires teamwork, physical activity, and pride in doing work that helps others.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and evaluate restoration activities, including but not limited to the inventory, packing, and specialized cleaning of personal property and contents.
  • Safely move, lift, and relocate furniture and belongings as part of the cleaning and restoration process.
  • Load, inventory, and maintain work vehicles with tools, equipment, and necessary supplies for each project.
  • Communicate clearly with supervisors about safety hazards, job site findings, and equipment needs.
  • Prepare rooms/areas for work activities, including setting up staging areas and equipment for each project.
  • Perform cleaning and restoration tasks as directed while maintaining attention to detail and care for customer belongings.
  • Assist with end-of-day and end-of-job cleanup, ensuring the job site is left in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Learn and develop restoration and cleaning skills to grow within SERVPRO and strengthen our brand reputation.

Position Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license

Skills / Physical Demands / Competencies

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and quality.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, and in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics).
  • Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects.
  • Comfort working with and around cleaning agents and equipment.
