About This Role

The Part-Time Floater plays a key role in keeping our center running smoothly. This position supports teachers across classrooms, assists with meal preparation, and helps maintain proper ratios during staff absences or busy periods.


Part-time (example: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday–Friday)


What You'll Do

Assist lead and assistant teachers in classrooms as needed


Provide coverage during staff breaks, transitions, and call-outs


Help maintain safe and engaging learning environments


Prepare and distribute meals/snacks in accordance with program guidelines


Support classroom cleaning and organization throughout the day


Ensure all children are supervised and cared for at all times


Follow licensing regulations and center policies


Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent


Ability to work flexible hours (typically late morning to afternoon)


Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented


Comfortable working with children of various age groups


Ability to pass background checks (SLED & Central Registry)


Willingness to complete required training within designated timeframes


Nice To Haves

6+ months experience in a licensed childcare facility


CPR & First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)


Experience with meal programs or food prep in a childcare setting


Strong communication and multitasking skills
