OVERVIEW:
As an Advanced Manufacturing Operations Technician in the aerospace ad defense sector, you will be a critical team member responsible for executing precision manufacturing processes within a controlled cleanroom environment. This role demands a high level of discipline, attention to detail, and the ability to work with sophisticated equipment to produce components that meet stringent quality standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Operate and maintain a Class 1000 (ISO 6) clean room, ensuring all environmental protocols and procedures are strictly followed
  • Perform routine cleaning, sterilization, and maintenance of all surfaces, equipment, and fixtures within the Class 1000 (ISO 6) clean room according to established protocols
  • Read, comprehend, and meticulously follow industry standards, technical work instructions, and engineering blueprints to ensure product integrity
  • Monitor and document environmental conditions, including particle counts, temperature, and humidity, to ensure compliance with industry and company standards
  • Operate and handle sensitive manufacturing and inspection equipment, including but not limited to rotary evaporators, high magnification microscopes, and micro-balancers
  • Manage the inventory, stocking, and proper introduction of approved clean room supplies, garments, and materials
  • Enforce all clean room protocols, including proper gowning/gloving procedures and conduct for all personnel entering the controlled environment
  • Maintain meticulous logs and records of all process steps, measurements, and outcomes to ensure traceability and compliance
  • Identify, report, and respond to any environmental deviations, potential contamination risks, or protocol breaches
  • Adhere to strict personal hygiene, cleanliness, and contamination control standards at all times within the controlled environment
  • Support manufacturing operations by ensuring the clean room is prepared and certified for production activities

SKILLS, ABILILTIES, AND KNOWLEDGE:
  • The skill to read, interpret, and accurately follow complex technical documents like blueprints, work instructions, and industry standards
  • Proficiency in handling and operating sensitive, high precision mfg and inspection equipment
  • Knowledge of contamination control and the specific procedures for working within a Class 1000 (ISO 6) environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks
  • Diligent record-keeping skills
  • Strong sense of self-control to consistently follow strict rules, procedures, and standards
  • The capacity to concentrate on detailed tasks for extended periods without compromising quality
  • Ability to wear potentially restrictive PPE for long shifts and adhere to strict hygiene standards
  • Ability to identify deviations from the standard process and flag them appropriately
  • Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation
