Job description

Residential Service Plumber (Strictly Plumbing)

Job Summary

Are you a skilled plumber looking for a stable, straightforward service role with zero multi-trade distractions? We are seeking a reliable, customer-focused Residential Service Plumber to join our team.

In this role, you will be dispatched directly from home in a fully equipped company truck, traveling to residential homes to perform essential repairs. This is a pure plumbing position your focus will remain entirely on drain cleaning, pipe changes, fixture installations, and everyday residential repairs. If you take pride in your trade, enjoy the freedom of the road, and love solving problems for homeowners, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

  • On-Site Service & Repairs: Perform residential plumbing service calls including drain cleaning, clearing blockages, replacing faulty pipes (copper, PEX, PVC), and repairing leaks.
  • Fixture Installations: Install and upgrade residential plumbing fixtures, including toilets, faucets, sinks, showers, garbage disposals, and water heaters.
  • Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Evaluate residential plumbing systems, accurately diagnose issues, and explain repair options and costs clearly to the homeowner before beginning work.
  • Truck & Tool Ownership: Keep your assigned company service truck clean, organized, and stocked with necessary parts and materials.
  • Customer Care: Provide friendly, professional service to clients in their homes, leaving every work area clean and tidy.
  • Digital Documentation: Complete simple digital work orders, take payment, and record job notes on a mobile tablet/phone.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: 2 to 5+ years of hands-on residential plumbing service or drain cleaning experience.
  • Licensing: Active Plumbing License (Journeyman, Tradesman, or Registered Apprentice depending on local state requirements) is highly preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License: A clean, insurable driving record is required to operate our company service vehicles.
  • Trade Tools: Must possess basic hand tools of the trade (we provide major equipment, sewer cameras, and drain machines).
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, work in tight spaces (crawl spaces, under sinks), and navigate ladders safely.

What We Offer (Benefits & Perks)

  • Competitive Pay: $115,000
  • Company Vehicle: Fully stocked, modern service truck provided. We pay for gas, maintenance, and insurance.
  • Consistent Workload: Steady year-round residential dispatch with no seasonal layoffs.
  • Work-Life Balance: Reasonable schedule with a rotating, fair on-call calendar.
  • Insurance & Retirement: Health, dental, and vision packages, plus a 401(k) matching plan.
  • Paid Time Off: Accrued vacation days, paid holidays, and sick leave.
