Job description

Scope

As a Mobility Equipment Field Service Contractor (1099), you will maintain and repair mobility scooters, wheelchairs, and related equipment at customer locations throughout the Greater Atlanta area. This role is ideal for an independent contractor with strong mechanical skills who enjoys working in the field and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on mobility scooters, wheelchairs, and related equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, including batteries, chargers, brakes, tires, and controllers.
  • Complete equipment inspections to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Replace parts and perform routine maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Respond to service calls at multiple customer locations throughout the Atlanta area.
  • Safely operate hand and power tools required for equipment repairs.
  • Maintain accurate service records and complete work orders using a mobile device.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and customer site requirements.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and provide outstanding customer service.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including occasional mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
