As per the current collective agreement: 

Youth sector:

Non-legally qualified : $54.11 per hour

Legally qualified : $63.14 per hour 

Adult sector:

Non-legally qualified:  $74.74 per hour

Legally qualified: $80.75 per hour

*To be considered qualified, you must hold a Quebec-issued brevet or teaching license

Details of the position

Are you passionate about Education and eager to share your knowledge with students? Eastern Townships School Board is currently seeking qualified teachers.

Required qualifications

Priority is given to candidates with:

  • A Quebec Brevet
  • A valid teaching license issued by the Quebec Ministry of Education
  • A degree in Education 

Candidates currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Education program are also welcome to apply. 

We also accept unqualified candidates who hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with experience working with students. 

International Studies

For diplomas obtained abroad, the comparative evaluation of studies completed outside Quebec issued by the Ministère de l'Immigration, de la Francisation et de l'Intégration attesting that you have a bachelor's degree is required.

Other requirements

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bilingualism (French/English) and ability to teach fluently in both languages
