Overview
Provide support for DoD IT systems, ensuring secure and efficient access control for classified and unclassified environments. This role involves day-to-day operations, maintenance, implementation, and problem resolution for access control processes, databases, and user accounts. The position supports mission-critical operations requiring attention to detail, technical expertise, and adherence to security protocols.


Responsibilities

Access Management:

  • Create, modify, and close out sub-projects as needed.
  • Administer user accounts, including granting and revoking access, allocating computer time, and monitoring sub-project usage.
  • Add and remove co-investigators from sub-projects and assign allocations of computer time from reserve accounts.

Database and System Maintenance:

  • Maintain access control databases and account information for classified systems.
  • Update classified portals with current information and generate usage reports.
  • Manage internal resource tracking systems to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.

UNIX Group Management:

  • Create and maintain UNIX groups, manage access to shared software, and add or delete users as needed.

Operational Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare and assess resource allocation/utilization data for High-Performance Computing (HPC) resources.
  • Maintain records and generate monthly or ad hoc graphs and charts of resource utilization.
  • Use Microsoft Office applications to create efficient and accurate reports.

Security and Risk Assessment:

  • Prioritize operational requirements for Mission Assurance, addressing threats and risk assessments.
