Class A CDL Driver

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Class A CDL Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety, a keen sense of responsibility, and an unwavering dedication to delivering excellence in their work. This position involves operating commercial vehicles to transport goods and materials, ensuring timely and efficient delivery, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

Transportation and Delivery

  • Operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport goods and materials to designated locations.
  • Use a Moffett to unload the truck on jobsites.
  • Plan routes and meet delivery schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform preventative maintenance as needed.
  • Secure cargo for transport, ensuring it is properly loaded and balanced.
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and regulations.

Safety and Compliance

  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Use company designated software to maintain accurate logs of vehicle inspections, delivery pictures, and other required documentation.
  • Report any mechanical problems or safety issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Follow company policies and procedures regarding the safe handling and transport of all loads.

Customer Service

  • Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Provide updates on delivery status and address any customer inquiries or concerns.
  • Handle delivery documentation, including obtaining customer signatures and processing paperwork as required.

Requirements

Licensing and Experience

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Minimum of 1 years of experience operating commercial vehicles.
  • Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents in the past 5 years.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations related to commercial driving.
  • Excellent driving skills with the ability to maneuver large vehicles in various conditions.
