Job description

Strategic Basing Engineer + Architect/Planner

Must be a US Citizen who currently possesses a Secret Clearance. The is an onsite position. Position Description: Strategic Basing Engineer + Architect/Planner with DAF strategic basing experience and expertise who applies advanced engineering/architecture, infrastructure analysis, and to evaluate, plan, and execute the beddown of military units, weapon systems, and mission-critical assets. Translate mission requirements to facility and infrastructure requirement documents with cost estimates and draft DD1391s for Military Construction (MILCON) and/or Facilities Sustainment, Restoration, and Modernization (FSRM) programs to implement Approved Basing Decisions. Provide support to U.S. Space Force (USSF) strategic basing initiatives through the development of Class 4 and/or 5 cost estimates and execution of expanded planning, engineering, and architectural analysis. Prepare high impact staff packages, including summary sheets, presentations, congressional responses, and white papers, integrating technical inputs from the assigned engineer and architect to inform senior leadership decisions and promote transparency across stakeholders.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture or Planning Discipline is required
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience with a broad knowledge of DAF and DOD corporate processes, USSF/S4 strategic partnerships include OSD, HAF, SAF/IE, AF/A4C, AFIMSC, AFCEC.
  • Facilities project execution and oversight experience in DoW
  • Specific experience with developing Class 4 and 5 estimates

Preferred Skills:

  • Headquarters experience with staffing approval packages for facility requirements.
  • Civil Engineer experience in the US Air Force or US Space Force highly desired.
