Working alongside experienced Project Managers and Superintendents, you'll help organize project documentation, coordinate communication, and track progress to keep projects running smoothly.

You'll contribute by assisting with submittals, RFIs, and schedules; participating in site walks and project meetings; and collaborating with trade contractors and design partners. Through hands-on experience, mentoring, and ongoing training, you'll develop the skills needed to grow into future leadership roles within Clark Construction.

This role is based out of our Lansing office and support our project in Chattanooga, TN. Ideal candidates may live in or near Chattanooga, Collegedale, Walden, or other surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the project team in managing all aspects of construction from preconstruction to closeout
  • Manage and track submittals, RFIs, and material delivery schedules to ensure timely project progress
  • Participate in all project meetings (owner, progress, and coordination) and prepare relevant documentation
  • Conduct daily site walks with the Project Manager or Superintendent to monitor progress and identify potential issues
  • Learn and develop mastery of CONNECT, the company's project management system
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with trade contractors, suppliers, and project partners
  • Participate in monthly Project Engineer meetings and ongoing training sessions for professional growth
  • Prepare for advancement by gaining proficiency in project management best practices

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment
  • Collaborative approach with clients, design teams, and trade partners
  • Familiarity with ProjectSight, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite preferred
  • Prior construction-related experience (internship or full-time) valued
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from job sites as required
