Amerisure is currently recruiting for a Claims Customer Care Representative that will sit in our Farmington Hills, Michigan headquarters. The ideal candidate will possess the following skill set.

Summary Statement

Sets up new claims for all lines of business from various sources. Handles all incoming calls and mail for the claims department from agents, policyholders, claimants, and providers. Processes various types of support requests for claims department.

Essential Tasks/Major Duties

  • Enter new losses into the claims system accurately and in accordance with claim guidelines.
  • Electronically index documents to claim files.
  • Answer phones for claims call center to set up new losses, route to appropriate claims adjuster, and handle medical bills for payment.
  • Provide claims processing support to department including bill payment, state forms, and correspondence.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 2 years high volume customer service experience.
  • Proficient computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated successful ability to build positive relationships and partnerships within department, across the organization and with external customers.
  • Demonstrated successful ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure timely deadlines.
  • Demonstrated successful ability to work on several projects concurrently.
  • Demonstrated successful ability to input data with a high accuracy rating, and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers.
