Job description

BlueLinx, a leading wholesale distributor of building and industrial products, plays a vital role in supporting our branch operations! We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Branch Admin III to lead and support administrative tasks, support sales efforts, and ensure seamless daily operations.

What You'll Do:

  • Understands the company’s vision, mission, and strategy; understands business unit objectives and sets/accomplishes individual performance goals accordingly
  • Coordinates with warehouse supervisor on all inbound /outbound shipments, and other customer service issues
  • Works closely with Administration and Operations management to ensure work is completed in a timely and accurate fashion
  • Supports sales efforts of branch sales team through real time communication of route status throughout the day
  • Reviews, manages, and builds the truck routes to provide to the routing team
  • Works closely with Operations management to relay equipment, inventory, delivery, and customer service issues
  • Assists in filing and scanning delivery tickets
  • Assists in processing Credit Card payments and bank deposits
  • Assists in creating order proofs and invoicing
  • Assists in receiving inbound inventory and balancing AP Reconciliation
  • Assists in processing claims as applicable
  • Assists with clerical physical inventory as needed for branch inventories
  • Assists with cycle count management


What You'll Bring:

  • Strong planning, organization, communication, problem solving and decision-making skills 
  • Excellent telephone skills with the ability to identify key issues, evaluate facts and recommend appropriate action
  • Knowledge of finance and accounting transactions in a warehousing environment / distribution center
  • Knowledge and experience in inventory control, material/stock handling/storage, and building products
  • Detail-oriented and ability to multi-task 
  • Strong problem analysis/ resolution, organization, time management, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Process improvement and operating efficiency knowledge
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite Software and other relevant tools / technology
  • Experience with Oracle ERP platform a plus
  • Years of experience: 2-5 years related experience preferred

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate based on the position requirements and market data. Actual compensation will depend on factors including experience, qualifications, skills, geographic location, and other job-related considerations. BlueLinx also offers a comprehensive benefits package including health care, dental, vision, life and disability insurance starting the first day of the month, 15 days of paid time off that start accruing your first day, and 8 paid holidays per year.
