  • Conduct invasive testing, moisture diagnostics, leak investigations, and code-compliance assessments.
  • Prepare clear and comprehensive engineering reports outlining observed conditions, causes of distress, code/manufacturer deficiencies, and recommended repairs.
Design & Specification Development
  • Develop repair and replacement design documents, including plans, details, and CSI-formatted specifications.
  • Coordinate design solutions with internal architecture, structural, MEP, and forensic specialists.
  • Ensure design documents align with current building codes, industry standards (ASTM, AAMA, TMS, ICC), and manufacturer requirements.
Bidding & Contractor Procurement
  • Prepare bid packages and technical scopes of work.
  • Lead pre-bid meetings, respond to bidder RFIs, and assist the client in contractor selection.
  • Provide technical support during pricing evaluation and value-engineering discussions.
Construction Administration & Observation

  • Review submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, change orders, and payment applications.
  • Support the client and contractor through project closeout, punch lists, and final quality verification.
Leadership & Mentoring
  • Serve as a technical resource for building envelope reviews, design development, and QA/QC processes.
  • Mentor junior engineers, architects, and field staff.
  • Assist in developing internal standards training materials, and best-practice procedures.

  • Strong experience with cladding systems (fiber cement, ACM, stucco/EIFS, adhered masonry veneer, rainscreens, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to write clear technical reports and present findings to boards, managers, and client groups
Preferred Credentials
  • IIBEC certifications (RRC, RWC, REWC, RBEC) highly preferred.
  • Professional licensure (PE, RA, or EIT/AXP in progress) is a plus.
  • Experience with FORTIFIED, façade investigations, or forensic building science is beneficial.
Additional Skills
