Job Title: Sheet Metal Fabricator (Metal Fabrication / CNC / Press Brake)
Job Type: Full-Time, In Person
Pay: $20-$32 per hour
Start Date: Immediately
JR&CO is hiring an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator to join the metal fabrication team in our 40,000-square-foot cladding shop in Kansas City. In this hands-on shop role, you'll cut, bend, form, and finish metal for commercial roofing and architectural cladding projects using CNC equipment, press brakes, and benders/folders. What You'll Do (Essential Job Functions)
  • Read fabrication tickets and work orders and select the correct materials
  • Cut, bend, shape, and form sheet metal using CNC machines, press brakes, and benders/folders
  • Weld, bolt, rivet, and solder using the appropriate tools and equipment
  • Operate and maintain fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
  • Keep the shop and warehouse clean and organized
  • Support load lists and stage materials for delivery to job sites
  • Assist the Warehouse Manager with inventory as needed
  • Deliver materials to job sites safely and on time

What You'll Need (Required Skills & Qualifications)
  • Prior experience in sheet metal fabrication or a related construction/manufacturing environment (required)
  • Hands-on experience with CNC machines, press brakes, and benders/folders
  • Ability to read and interpret fabrication tickets and work orders
  • Basic welding, bolting, riveting, and soldering skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • High school diploma or GED (required)
  • OSHA 10 Construction Industry Certification, or ability to obtain upon hire

Work Environment / Physical Requirements
  • Primarily a shop and warehouse environment, with outdoor exposure during job site deliveries
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials regularly
  • Overtime and weekend work may be required
  • Must pass an initial drug test and participate in the random drug test program
