Our offices in Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton offer superior Commercial Roofing, Cladding & Building Envelope Services, Traffic Coatings Application & Commercial Below Ground Waterproofing.


Position:

United Roofing (Edmonton) Inc. is looking to hire a full-time Cladding Estimator. Our overall operation involves, roofing, waterproofing and cladding work throughout the Edmonton area. The typical working hours required are from 8am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday.


Key responsibilities:

  • Send bids accurately and on time.
  • Review project blueprints and specifications
  • Review contract documents for management review.
  • Perform occasional site reviews to get familiar with each project.
  • Conduct comprehensive quantity takeoffs and cost estimates.
  • Lead bid preparation and coordination.
  • Review contracts.
  • Utilize quantity take-off software and tools. Proficiency with Planswift is an asset.
  • Analyze historical data, market trends, and benchmarks.
  • Research alternative materials and construction methods.
  • Mentor and guide junior estimators.
  • Lead value engineering efforts.
  • Present cost estimates and reports to management and clients.
  • Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Stay updated with industry advancements and regulations.
  • Improve estimating processes and guidelines.
  • Participate in post-project reviews.
  • Support business development activities.
  • Assist in subcontractor selection.
  • Contribute to standardized estimating tools.
  • Provide expertise for complex projects.
  • Coordinate with estimating team members.
  • Enhance professional skills and knowledge.


Assets for applicants:

  • Building Envelope experience (3+ years)
  • Strong skills in Excel, Word and on Screen Take-Off Software
  • Ability to read plans and specifications
  • Valid Driver’s License required
  • Training can/will be provided for any hired candidates
