Job Description

Primary Function of Position:
The Manager, Customer Learning & Development (CLD) will lead a team responsible for all
phases of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation (ADDIE) of learning
programs and deliverables. Management responsibilities will focus on creating a shared vision
aligned with the broader CL&D team, partnering with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to
execute on project initiatives, building relationships that lead to successful CLD and cross-
departmental efforts, and developing employees.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Set quarterly and yearly goals in support of corporate objectives
• Drive execution of all learning strategies, projects and goals
• Forecast resource and budget needs to accomplish company and departmental
goals
• Hire, develop, and manage learning content and experience designers
• Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to research, design, and validate
scalable learning strategies that optimize learning experience and outcomes

Partner with stakeholders to establish, execute and report against shared goals and
roadmap execution
• Lead complex, cross-functional projects by developing comprehensive plans,
coordinating multiple workstreams, and driving seamless execution with limited
supervision
• Work with regulatory and quality teams to ensure training materials and curricula meet
compliance guidelines
• Intake and prioritize training requests and assign resources
• Analyze workflows to determine efficacy and opportunities for process improvements
• Develop and foster needs/gap analysis to assess and prioritize opportunities
• Ensure learning content meets quality guidelines and is structured and presented for the
optimal learner experience
• Oversee and supplement any aspect of the overall learning design, development, and
delivery as needed

Qualifications

Skill / Job Requirements
• Minimum 3 years of management, team leadership, or equivalent experience is required
• 5 years instructional design / corporate training experience, preferably in a regulated
industry
• Experience designing and developing eLearning, instructor-led training, assessments,
and blended learning solutions
• Delivery of training in a professional or classroom setting
• 1-2 years of experience in biotech or medical device organization preferred
• Education Background
o Engineering/Sciences, Curriculum Development or Instructional
Design/Technology degree preferred
o Education degree acceptable
o College degree required
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills

Experience with the following is required:
o Leading a team of instructional designers or educators, or equivalent corporate
training professionals
o Working with SMEs and stakeholders in a cross departmental and team
environment
o Managing content translation for a global audience
o Utilizing a Learning Management System (LMS)
o Providing structured and constructive feedback to team members and redirecting
team members, if necessary
• Experience with the following is preferred:
o Developing & implementing advanced modalities (mobile learning, AR/VR, etc.)
o Evaluating training effectiveness and/or learner journeys
o Multimedia capture and editing (audio, photo, and/or video)
• Software Proficiency
o Articulate Storyline and Rise
o MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint)
o Smartsheet (or equivalent project management too

Compensation will be based primarily on the job level at which the role is filled and the

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications. The target compensation ranges are listed.

Base Salary Range Region 1:$155,400 - $223,600
Base Salary Range Region 2: $139,900 - $201,200
Shift: Day
Workplace Type: Set Schedule - This job will be onsite weekly, the percentage of onsite work will be defined by the leader.
