Job description

 Applicant will deliver classroom and simulator-based instruction in aviation subjects including flight principles, navigation, meteorology, and aircraft systems. Ensure compliance with FAA standards while preparing students for certification through engaging lessons and evaluations. 
Responsibilities
  • Teach aviation theory using Blackboard™, SchoolVue™, SMART™ board, and PowerPoint™
  • Supervise simulator sessions and flight operations
  • Prepare lesson plans and update course materials
  • Conduct student evaluations and provide feedback
  • Lead pre/post-flight briefings and maintain training records
  • Stay current with FAA regulations and aviation technology
Candidates must meet one of the following:
  • 3+ years as Certified Flight Instructor or Instrument-Rated Pilot with instructional experience
  • 3+ years as Facility Certified ATCS (civilian/military) with instructional experience
  • FAA may also consider:
    • 3+ years relevant aviation experience (CTI instructor, dispatcher, coordinator)
    • Bachelor’s in aviation/aeronautics + Master’s or higher ed certification
