About the Role:
The Special Projects Group of KPFF is growing and looking for an ambitious and initiative-drivenentry-level Structural Engineer to strengthen our dynamic team in Seattle, WA. You will be at the heart of downtown, working on a diverse range of civil, industrial, port developments, marine waterfront, ferry terminals, shipyards, floating structures, and transportation design build infrastructure projects. We are looking for self-motivated people who are eager to develop design and project management skills and who are passionate about providing exceptional client service. What You'll Be Doing:
Structural Design and Development:

• Apply your engineering knowledge to diverse projects, collaborating with teams to devise innovative solutions drawing on best practices in areas such as ports, harbors, marinas, floating structures, and ferry terminals.
• Contribute to projects involving waterfront developments and industrial developments, leveraging your skills to drive successful outcomes in these specialized areas.
• Enhance your skills in identifying and overcoming challenges through innovative problem-solving approaches, utilizing both traditional and modern engineering techniques.

Qualifications
Who We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• Master's degree in civil engineering (structural Focused)
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred
• Willingness to work on a variety of projects
• Concrete, steel, and timber coursework
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Additional Information
Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Duties are primarily conducted in a standard office setting, requiring prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or computer table.
• Occasionally may be required to lift objects weighing up to 15 lbs.
• Occasionally visiting project locations and performing field inspections which may involve walking, standing, kneeling, or navigating uneven terrain.
• Traveling to project sites or client meetings, which may involve driving or flying.

Compensation:
The base salary for this role is competitive and will be determined based on the candidate's experience, education, and skills. The expected range for a qualified candidate with 0-3 years of experience is $87,000-$105,000. Additionally, we offer performance-based bonuses to recognize and reward outstanding contributions in each Reporting Center.
