Job description

Plantation Law Firm is seeking a highly organized, full-time Legal Assistant with civil litigation experience. This position requires knowledge of Florida’s State Court procedures and E-Filing Portal. Candidates must be detail-oriented, adaptable and resourceful in a high-volume and fast paced environment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparation of legal documents, notices and correspondence
  • Maintaining electronic and physical files
  • Scanning of documents
  • Maintaining attorney's calendar
  • Coordinating, scheduling and calendaring of court hearings
  • Accessing process servers website for updates on service of process

Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years of Civil Litigation experience
  • Ability to multi-task with a high level of organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prepare, edit and finalize pleadings, notices, and other legal documents
  • Experience with scheduling hearings
  • Experience with online scheduling

Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a one hour lunch.

Salary will be based on experience.
