Job description

If you're a licensed PE who enjoys seeing projects move from a piece of land to a thriving residential community, mixed-use development, or commercial destination, this is an opportunity to make a direct impact across the Seattle metro area.

At Atwell, you'll lead meaningful land development projects, work closely with developers and municipalities, and have the autonomy to influence both project success and the growth of our local practice.

What You'll Do
  • Lead residential, commercial, mixed-use, and site development projects throughout the Seattle/Puget Sound region.
  • Design and oversee grading, drainage, stormwater, utility, roadway, and site civil improvements.
  • Manage projects from due diligence and entitlements through construction.
  • Navigate permitting and approvals with local municipalities and agencies.
  • Collaborate directly with clients, helping turn development opportunities into successful projects.
  • Contribute to the continued growth of Atwell's land development presence in the Seattle market.
What We're Looking For

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • 4+ years of civil land development experience.
  • Experience with site design, grading, drainage, utilities, and entitlement/permitting processes.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Preferred

  • Experience with WaterCAD, StormCAD, and SewerCAD.
  • Familiarity with Seattle-area jurisdictions and permitting requirements.
  • Strong client-facing and project management skills.
