The Civil Engineer supports the District's dam safety program to help ensure the structural integrity and operational safety of the Wells Hydroelectric Project through instrumentation monitoring, dam inspections and engineering evaluations. This position works closely with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, consultants, and craftspeople at the Wells Hydroelectric Project and its related facilities. This position requires frequent travel to the Wells Hydroelectric Project.
This position will be filled at one of four levels, depending on experience and qualifications.
Civil Engineer I:
The successful applicant for this position will be hired within an annualized salary range of $80,170 - $93,928, depending on qualifications for the position. The maximum in this pay scale is $109,957. A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, engineering geology, or geology is required. This position is entry level and no experience is required, but consideration will be given for experience in the areas of dam safety, structures, water resources, or geotechnical engineering. A Washington State Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Geologist-in-Training (GIT) certificate is desired.
