Senior Civil Project Manager Western New York

Ready to take your career beyond project delivery? Erdman Anthony is looking for an experienced Civil Project Manager to lead impactful infrastructure projects while helping shape the growth of our Western New York civil practice.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work alongside a respected senior leader, gaining direct exposure to client relationships, operations, business development, and team leadership. Over the next several years, the successful candidate will be positioned to assume increasing responsibility and ultimately transition into a management role within the Western New York civil engineering practice.

Our work includes water and sewer infrastructure, site development, parks, roadways, and utilities across Western New York. You'll lead projects from design through construction, serve as a trusted client advisor, mentor the next generation of engineers, and help build Erdman Anthony's presence in the regional market.

What You'll Do

  • Lead civil projects from scope and design through construction and closeout
  • Serve as a key client contact and build lasting relationships with municipal, agency, and private-sector clients
  • Work closely with senior leadership to gain knowledge of practice operations, strategic planning, and business development
  • Assume progressively greater leadership responsibilities in support of a planned succession strategy
  • Provide technical leadership and serve as Engineer of Record on applicable projects
  • Oversee scope, schedule, budget, quality, staffing, and project delivery
  • Lead and mentor engineers and technical staff while building a high-performing team
  • Identify opportunities, develop proposals, and help win new work and grow the WNY backlog
  • Partner with leadership on practice growth, strategic opportunities, and long-term planning
  • Maintain accountability for project profitability, quality, client satisfaction, and team performance

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of civil engineering/project management experience
  • BS or MS in Civil Engineering
  • NYS PE license or ability to obtain within six months
  • Leadership ability and interest in growing into a larger management role
  • Water/sewer, site civil, municipal, or infrastructure experience preferred
  • Strong project management, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently
  • CADD and/or engineering design software experience a plus
  • Valid NY driver's license
