Civil Engineering Professional Career Level
Location: Hybrid - Omaha, NE
Duration: 6 months
What You'll Do:
  • Lead site development, master planning, and site selection efforts
  • Design underground utility routes and optimize site space
  • Conduct hydrology analysis for storm drain system design
  • Analyze and design gravitational wastewater systems
  • Prepare final grading plans including earthwork balancing
  • Develop erosion, sediment control, and stormwater pollution prevention plans
  • Ensure compliance with local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) standards
  • Perform stormwater modeling using StormCAD or CivilStorm software
  • Coordinate efforts with multidisciplinary teams such as mechanical, structural, architectural, and electrical engineers

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 15+ years of civil engineering experience, PE license required or obtainable within 6 months
  • Advanced skills in Civil 3D and stormwater analysis tools (StormCAD, CivilStorm)
  • Proven ability to lead site civil teams and collaborate remotely with diverse disciplines
  • Strong understanding of site development, utility routing, hydrology, and permitting processes
  • Adaptability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Onsite presence in Omaha, NE (relocation assistance available)

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience in data center or large industrial site development and master planning
  • Knowledge of local jurisdiction requirements and permitting protocols
  • Ability to follow lead and support multidisciplinary team coordination

Preferred Education and Experience:

Other Requirements:
  • Valid PE license or the ability to obtain one within six months
  • Ability to work onsite at the Omaha, NE location two days per week; flexible to relocate
  • Ability to support and work within a temporary (temp-to-perm potential) engagement, emphasizing stability and continuous learning
