Job description

Exciting and highly rewarding opportunity for a Senior Civil/Site Design Engineer looking to join the team in Naperville!  This is a hybrid position with working three days in the office and two days remote.


Responsibilities:

  • Work on a variety of projects (renewable energy sites, food processing facilities, academic campuses, municipal infrastructure)
  • Lead project teams
  • Work directly with clients
  • Mentor/train junior staff
  • Assist with business development
  • Provide/lead Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QAQC) reviews for civil projects

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
  • 8+ years of progressive technical design experience with site development projects
  • 5+ years of project management experience
  • 2+ years of business development experience
  • Experience working on site layouts, site grading, roadway design, utility design, vehicular and/or pedestrian access, stormwater management, and site permitting
  • PE License in the State of Minnesota or Illinois
  • Experience working with regulatory agencies
  • Knowledge of the permit application process with FEMA, DOT, DNR, and state / local government entities
  • Experience working with AutoCAD Civil 3D used to develop site designs
  • May require limited overnight travel
  • Active professional registration or ability to obtain in additional states with a preference of Minnesota, Illinois, Wisconsin, South Dakota, and Iowa strongly encouraged
  • Prior management/site design experience for private commercial/industrial developers and/or renewable energy (solar/wind) infrastructures and facilities preferred
