Verdantas is seeking a Hydraulic Modeling and Testing Intern to join our team in our Holden, MA office for the Summer of 2027. This is an exciting opportunity to work on unique engineering projects and learn about a combination physical and numeric modeling, as well as component testing. As part of our collaborative team, you'll gain hands-on experience in designing, building, and testing hydraulic models and test setups that help solve real-world challenges. If you're passionate about applying engineering principles to create sustainable solutions and eager to learn from industry experts, we'd love to have you on board.
What You'll Do:
  • Conduct CFD and physical model studies related to sediment transport, pump station hydraulics, water supply, and treatment facilities, spillways, and other civil hydraulic structures
  • Conduct a variety of testing using physical models or 1:1 component test loops
  • Collect data including flow velocities, turbidity, suspended sediment concentration, dynamic and static pressure, and temperature
  • Conduct engineering calculations, model component design, operation and testing of the model, and data acquisition and analysis
