Job description

ATCS is growing! We have an exciting opportunity for a Site/Civil (Land Development) Engineer to join our vibrant team! This is a hybrid role with three days per week required onsite. We are considering candidates based out of Newport News (VA) or Virginia Beach.
This individual will design diverse projects including mixed-use, residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial development. The diversity of responsibilities requires a flexible mindset and cooperative team-oriented attitude with progressively increasing design and management capabilities.
You'll spend your time:
  • Developing innovative technical land development design solutions
  • Collaborating with senior engineers and managers to develop innovative design solutions and address project challenges
  • Working collaboratively with a team of go-getters and industry leaders
  • Engaging in strong client relationships through frequent communications
  • Designing diverse projects including mixed-use, residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial development
  • Mentoring and educating early-career Site/Civil staff

About you:
  • You hold a bachelor's degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering
  • You hold professional registration (P.E.) in Virginia
  • You have 5-10+ years of land development design experience with Virginia clients/projects
  • You are a self-starter who is eager to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • You are well-versed in civil engineering design including: stormwater, utilities, paving, roadway design, grading
  • You are proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D
  • You are familiar with state and municipal design and development processes
  • You interact effectively with municipal approval authorities

Our employees are the most critical part of ATCS. For this position, we offer a competitive salary range of $79,500 to $132,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The role is also eligible for an annual bonus, with a target 2% of the employee's annualized salary. Full-time employees are eligible for benefits coverage on the first day of the month following their start date.
