Job Summary: ย The Civil Engineering Intern will report to an assigned Project Manager or Principal. The Intern's main job responsibility is assisting project manager and technical staff with project work and organizational activities. Essential responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:


Essential Duties / Responsibilities: The Civil Engineering Intern duties and responsibilities will fall under multiple categories including but not limited to: Technical, Communication, Leadership, and Development of Clients. These duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


Essential Duties / Responsibilities:

- Works directly with a mentor in your field of study while finding solutions to real world problems

- Prepares preliminary analysis on a variety of technical tasks

- Performs routine analysis to check accuracy of data and work products

- Assists in the production of engineering drawings and calculations

- Organize files and documents.

- Support staff members in the organization by completing tasks as delegated.

- Complete basic engineering calculations for review by other team members.

- Responsible for reviewing their own work to ensure completeness and quality.ย 

- Communicate effectively with team members.

- Performs other related duties as assigned


Requirements

Required Skills / Abilities:

- Ability to learn new software quickly.

- Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing internally and externally.

- Ability to listen, understand and retain information and ideas presented verbally and in writing.

- Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines.
