Job description

TEKsystems is looking for a Program/Project Manager with experience large data engineering and data migration projects. The position requires three days onsite in Dearborn, Michigan.

Key Responsibilities 

• Serve as technical lead for data engineering, owning architecture and delivery 

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines and models on GCP 

• Lead migration from Alteryx to GCP-based ETL and reporting 

• Define data engineering standards and best practices 

• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into solutions 

• Lead and mentor distributed data engineering teams 

• Ensure data quality and integrity across systems 

• Heavily leverage Python, SQL and GCP’s native data services 

• Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning 

• Identify risks and lead mitigation strategies 

Required Qualifications 

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering or platform development 

• Experience leading enterprise data engineering initiatives 

• Hands-on experience with GCP or other cloud platforms 

• Strong expertise in data pipelines, modeling, and ETL/ELT 

• Experience working with complex data environments 

• Experience leading global teams 

• Strong communication and collaboration skills 

• Experience with Agile methodologies 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience with Alteryx or similar tools 

• Background in data platform modernization 

• Experience in automotive or service operations data 

• Familiarity with GCP services (BigQuery, Dataflow, etc.) 

• Experience with data governance and quality frameworks

This is a Contract position based out of Dearborn, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $80.00/hr.
