Job description

Description
Creativity. Innovation. A desire to effect positive change. That’s what it takes to work at Fuss & O’Neill – because that’s what we do for the communities in which we work: we create, innovate, and design long-lasting improvements that improve quality of life. Quality of life is also important on the job, so we’ve prioritized work-life balance by offering flexible/remote work opportunities, part-time benefits, and generous PTO. We believe that each day is an opportunity to support one another, to support our clients, and to support our communities. If you feel the same, then you’ve found your future.
We are currently seeking a Civil Engineer to join our growing Site/Civil team. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with strong technical design experience who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and contributing to a wide range of land development and infrastructure projects. As a Civil Engineer, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of engineers and scientists to support the planning, design, and execution of site/civil engineering projects.
And we're backing that growth with more than a great team: this role comes with a guaranteed seat in Blueprint, our new early career leadership program. Over six months, you'll build professional development, business acumen, and project delivery skills through real case studies, simulations, and role-play — not passive lectures — culminating in an in-person capstone event where you'll present your work and map out your goals for the year ahead. Your Future Starts With A Plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform detailed site/civil engineering design including: site layout, grading & drainage, utility design, stormwater management systems, erosion & sedimentation control plans
  • Prepare site plans and construction documents
  • Support permitting efforts and coordinate with local and state agencies
  • Perform occasional field work and site investigations
  • Collaborate with internal project teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions
  • Assist with project coordination, scheduling, and technical documentation

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • 2-4 years of relevant civil/site engineering experience
  • EIT registration required, PE strongly preferred
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
  • Experience with StormCAD and HydroCAD preferred
  • Familiarity with local and state permitting requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and work effectively within a team environment

This is a hybrid role, offering the best of both worlds—collaborate in-office with a high-performing team and enjoy the flexibility of working remotely part of the week. We're committed to supporting work-life balance while maintaining strong team connection and project delivery.

Why You’ll Love Working with Us
