Job description

A civil engineering firm in the Phoenix/Mesa, AZ area is seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Project Manager to lead land development projects from concept through construction. This role is ideal for a licensed or license-track civil engineer with strong land development project experience who is ready to own projects end-to-end.

Responsibilities

  • Manage civil engineering land development projects from design through construction, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments
  • Serve as the primary technical and client-facing lead on assigned projects
  • Coordinate with surveyors, planners, municipalities, and construction teams to keep projects on schedule and within scope
  • Review and approve civil design deliverables including grading, drainage, utilities, and site layout
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and scope, and communicate status to clients and leadership
  • Mentor junior engineers and support their technical development

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of civil engineering experience with a strong focus on land development
  • PE license strongly preferred; PE candidates near licensure will be considered
