Overview / Responsibilities

Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions is currently recruiting for a Senior Civil Engineering/Project Manager to join our Florida Civil Design Group. This senior position provides technical expertise to lead staff in the completion of moderately complex and complex muncipal projects (up to $1MM) involving stormwater, utiilities (water and wastewater), roadway, modeling, permiting and construction management.ย ย 

Work Location:

Open to any Wood E&IS office location in Florida ย 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing projects and coordinating tasks of moderate size and complexity, makes decisions independently, receives supervision and guidance largely on overall objectives and results
  • Maintains effective client relations
  • Prepares and conducts technical review of staff, reports, correspondence, calculations, and prepares technical recommendations
  • Produces non-routine plans, reports, and specifications
  • Identifies and defines scope, technique, price, and schedule
  • Prepares, directs, and reviews cost estimates
  • Recognizes and initiates business development opportunities
  • Prepares proposal with limited supervision and assists in preparation of large-scale proposals
Skills / Qualifications

Role Requirements:

  • BS or MS in Civil Engineering degree, or related
  • 10+ years of related experience
  • Licensed Florida Professional Engineer or ability to become licensed within 6 months of hire
  • Experience with large and small municipal clients
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems
  • Demonstrated maturity in judgement, initiative, and client relations
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, ability to prepare reports and proposals
  • Demonstrated project management abilities
  • Ability and willingness to develop business from new and existing clients
  • Valid Florida driver's license and must pass drug test, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy
