  • Provide mentorship and direction to junior engineers, designers, and technical staff.
  • Ensure project compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Support project management functions including resource planning, budgeting, and quality control.
  • Maintain oversight of multiple projects simultaneously with effective time and task prioritization.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Tennessee, or ability to obtain within six months.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, with emphasis on site development and infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other industry-standard design software.
  • Strong understanding of stormwater design, grading, and utility systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.
  • Proven ability to manage project teams and deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Commitment to continued professional growth and development.

  • Treat others with respect.
  • Set and work toward shared goals.
  • Communicate clearly and proactively.

  • Deliver high-quality work on time and on budget.

Integrity in Behavior

  • Act with fairness and honesty.
  • Serve clients and colleagues with a focus on trust and reliability.
  • Approach every project with a servant-leadership mindset.

The successful candidate will become an integral part of a team that lives these principles every day. We look forward to welcoming a senior leader ready to help shape the future of Cornerstone Engineering.
