Job Description As a Senior Civil Engineer you will be: Utilizing your skill set to complete civil engineering designs for scopes on industrial projects including: Plant site development earthworks stormwater pond design site drainage and stormwater management site roadwork layout and design haul road layout and design rough grade and finished grade design temporary facilities design Underground utilities Preparing and self-checking engineering calculations by hand and using computer software.

Prepare drawing markups for Designer, backcheck and ready for project issue. Developing and reviewing project specifications, including design criteria. Develop and review material estimates and schedules, progress reports, and effort-hour estimates.

Establish, track, and monitor material key quantities; provide analysis and forecasts Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to develop/deliver cost effective and constructible designs. Able to lead a Civil design team on a project. Checking 2D design drawings and 3D models.

Participating in procurement, permitting, and subcontracting activities. Completing other tasks as assigned. Basic Job Requirements Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.

Registered, or eligible for registration, as a Professional Engineer with APEGA. Ten (10) plus years of civil engineering experience in design of stormwater drainage, sanitary sewer collection and grading projects in both brownfield and greenfield settings. Familiarity with AutoCAD, OpenRoads, Microstation, Microsoft Office Suite.

Familiarity in using water management software such as Civil storm is considered an asset. Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors. Driven to independently complete assigned tasks in a time-effective manner.

Salary is based upon experience.
