Job description

We are looking for a driven Site Civil Engineer in Knoxville or Chattanooga to support our site development design projects.

As a key member of our Civil Site team, you'll have the chance to work on challenging projects ranging from small site design to large building projects or facility infrastructure upgrades. You'll get to work on site civil layout, grading, and drainage (hydrology and hydraulics) design, utility design, erosion control, and design review. You'll work closely with our talented project teams through all phases of plan production as we carry projects from concept design to bid-ready documents and into construction.

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
  • Professional engineering experience in site layout, grading and drainage, utility design, and erosion and sediment control.
  • Experience preparing, assembling, and reviewing construction drawings and technical specifications.
  • Project management experience or a demonstrated interest in assuming project management responsibilities.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Tennessee (or ability to obtain via reciprocity) preferred/required.

Ideally, you'll also have

  • Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Familiarity with drainage analysis programs such as Hydraflow Hydrographs, CulvertMaster, or FlowMaster.
