Job description

Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with a technical support center in South East Asia and East Africa, that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.

We are seeking a Civil Quality Control Engineer to oversee and ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards for civil works. You will perform quality control surveillance and inspections during installation and final inspection stages to ensure work meets contractual and regulatory requirements. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform quality control inspections for all civil construction activities.
  • Conduct QC surveillance during installation and final inspection of civil works.
  • Ensure work complies with project specifications, drawings, and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with site engineers, subcontractors, and project managers regarding quality requirements.
  • Document inspection findings and maintain QC records and reports.
  • Identify non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
  • Support project teams in maintaining quality standards throughout the construction process. 

Qualifications to be successful in the role: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineer or Construction Management.
  • Must be a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Texas.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in similar construction work or Technician with 5 years of related experience in civil construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction standards, quality control processes, and inspection procedures.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
