Civil Engineer - Transportation | York, PA | Full Time

Buchart Horn is seeking a talented and motivated Civil Engineer – Transportation to join our growing team. If you're passionate about transportation design, collaborative problem-solving, and seeing your work take shape in the real world, this is your chance to make an impact.

What You’ll Do:

As a Civil Engineer, you’ll work closely with project managers and multi-disciplinary teams to design and deliver infrastructure projects that keep communities moving.

  • Perform and review advanced engineering calculations for roadway and transportation projects
  • Conduct field surveys, site investigations, and substantial completion audits
  • Develop scalable and detailed plans, profiles, and design drawings using AutoCAD, MicroStation, and civil engineering design tools
  • Assist in proposal and work plan development, as well as project coordination, budgeting, and scheduling
  • Respond to RFIs, review submittals, edit specifications, and contribute to accurate cost estimates
  • Participate in QA/QC reviews and ensure quality standards throughout all project phases
  • Attend client and internal team meetings to define project goals and support construction-phase services
  • Stay up to date with the latest DOT regulations, design standards, and best practices in transportation engineering

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
