Fairport, NY is the headquarters for the Radionix sales & marketing organization in the United States and serves as the primary site for research and development, engineering, quality, and product management for intrusion detection systems, including state-of-the-art sensors, control panels, software, communications and more. 

Job Description

We're looking for a motivated earlycareer Automation Engineer to join our Quality Engineering team.

About the Role:

You'll work with our large, established automation suite built primarily in Python and Robot Framework, contributing to new test development, maintenance, and continuous improvement. While most of our automation focuses on web and backend systems, you'll also have opportunities to support mobile app automation as that area expands.  This is a hybrid role, with onsite collaboration Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in our Fairport office.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test suites using Python and Robot Framework
  • Contribute to test strategy, test planning, and requirement analysis
  • Troubleshoot complex issues across multiple systems and components
  • Collaborate closely with developers, QA engineers, and product teams
  • Participate in CI/CD pipeline integration and automation improvements
  • Support occasional mobile automation initiatives
  • Participate in performance, load, and reliability testing, including test design, execution, and analysis
  • Communicate clearly and effectively in both written and verbal formats
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or Equivalent Experience
  • 1-3 years of experience is preferred, or recent graduate with a strong technical competency preferably with internship or co-op experience.  
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Python, C#, or JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with Robot Framework or similar automation frameworks
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.)
  • Solid grasp of testing principles, requirement analysis, and test design
  • Ability to deepdive into complex issues and work collaboratively to resolve them
  • Strong communication skills and a teamfirst mindset
  • Familiarity with performance or load testing concepts (e.g., concurrency, throughput, resource utilization)

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Exposure to mobile automation (Appium, BrowserStack, etc.)
  • Experience with API testing
  • Familiarity with version control best practices (Git)

Physical Demands: Normal office environment.  Will be required to sit for extended periods of time. May require routinely lifting up to 15 pounds, at times lifting up to 50 pounds, pushing, pulling and standing.

Additional Information

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $70,000 - 85,000 per year. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc.

In addition to base salary, full-time employees are eligible to participate in Keenfinity Group's (US) Health and Welfare Benefit Plans-including medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance-as well as the company's 401(k) plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the respective plan documents.
