General Summary

At Cinderlite, we are looking for a highly experienced Heavy equipment Operator to support daily production activities in an aggregate mining environment. This role requires precision equipment operation, strong awareness of site safety, and the ability to work efficiently around crushers, haul trucks, and other heavy machinery. The ideal candidate has a solid background in quarry operations and understands and operates all types of equipment.

Ability to proficiently operate majority of the following types of equipment:

  • Excavator 345+

  • Dozer

  • Loader / Forklift

  • Bobcat

Essential Job Accountabilities

  • Safely operate heavy equipment to excavate, move, load and grade earth, rock, gravel, and other materials

  • Perform various activities including but not limited to: road building, finishing, sloping, banking, backfilling, loading, excavating, stockpiling, road surface maintenance, building and maintaining road berms and loading trucks.

  • Operate equipment proficiently and safely

  • Ensure operation of equipment is within capabilities and limitations

  • Perform required safety inspections and complete documentation

  • Maintain a clean and safe job site

  • Perform other duties as required

Certification

  • Valid Driver's License

Work Experience

  • 3-5+ years of experience operating heavy equipment in mining, or heavy civil environment.

  • Strong understanding of quarry operations, material types, and production flow

  • Experience working around crushers, screens, and conveyor systems.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Workers should be able to:

  • Excellent equipment control and precision grading ability.

  • Practice good safety habits

  • Work in dusty or dirty surroundings

  • Follow instructions and meet set standards

  • Judge distances and slopes accurately

  • Make decisions based on verifiable standards.

  • Reliability and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Physically, workers must be able to:

  • Stoop, bend, and crouch

  • Use hands, arms, and legs fully

  • See well (either naturally or with correction)

  • Lift up to 50 pounds, with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
