Job description


DESCRIPTION
L Squared Engineering seeks a full time Civil CAD Designer to join our growing office. This position will provide the candidate an opportunity to design, maintain and deliver construction drawings.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Assist Engineers in designing commercial sites, subdivisions, and municipal infrastructure.
Work from architectural plans and survey files to produce engineering construction plans in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Ability to work in team environment with other high-quality CAD/Design professionals, PEs/EITs, and Project Managers.
Understand and use established company standards for drafting including layer names, line types and text styles, using basic AutoCAD functionality.
Analyze sketches, notes and other input material to determine and plan the best approach to develop and complete drawing with minimal supervision.
Inform Project Manager(s) of progress on assigned projects and communicate design concerns with project managers.
Other helpful qualities:
*Experience in preparing plans in AutoCAD Civil 3D a plus.
*Being proficient in using pipe networks, creating surfaces, and creating Plan and Profiles.
*Having an understanding City and County standard design guidelines.
