The Role

Working under Woolbright’s direction and alongside our business and project teams, you’ll learn each property’s brand, audience, and goals — then take that knowledge into the community. You’ll visit local organizations, meet prospective partners and customers, and develop grassroots opportunities that drive visibility and engagement for our New Port Richey projects.

This is a hands-on, relationship-driven marketing role — not a behind-the-screen social media job. Phone, email, and Facebook outreach support the work, but the heart of it is in-person connection throughout New Port Richey.

What You’ll Do

• Get to know the business: Learn the brand, audience, and objectives behind each assigned Woolbright business or project
• Map the community: Identify relevant New Port Richey organizations, schools, clubs, businesses, and community groups to partner with
• Make the connection: Reach out by phone, email, social media, and in person — including local Facebook groups and administrators
• Get in the field: Visit local businesses and organizations to introduce Woolbright projects, canvass, and share approved promotional materials
• Build relationships: Turn conversations with community leaders, business owners, and customers into partnerships, promotions, events, and qualified opportunities
• Create programs: Help develop community events, group programs, fundraisers, and appreciation initiatives
• Bring the creative: Design simple flyers, event materials, and announcements in Canva (with corporate support provided)
• Track the impact: Keep organized records of contacts, commitments, and follow-ups, and track leads, visits, and participation generated
• Share your ideas: Pitch original ideas to make Woolbright projects more visible, familiar, and connected in the community

What We’re Looking For

• Friendly and confident — able to represent Woolbright professionally in person, by phone, email, and on social media
• Genuinely interested in community engagement, events, business development, and local marketing
• Creative and adaptable, able to communicate the value of different businesses and brands
• Proactive, dependable, and organized, with consistent follow-up
• Comfortable with Canva (or a similar design tool) and using Facebook for professional outreach
• Familiar with New Port Richey — or motivated to learn it — and able to travel locally for outreach, meetings, and events

Open to students studying marketing, business, communications, public relations, hospitality, or event management. Professionalism, initiative, creativity, and people skills matter as much as prior experience.

Schedule & Work Style

Part-time and primarily in-person — a mix of time at Woolbright properties, visits throughout the New Port Richey community, and limited remote work for calls, emails, research, and follow-up. We’ll build your schedule around your classes, though some evening or weekend availability may be needed for events.

Compensation

This is a paid internship offering $20–$22 per hour, based on the selected candidate’s experience and qualifications. Reimbursement for approved outreach-related mileage may also be available.
