Job description

Job Title: Locum Physician - Hematology Oncology
Summary: Join a dedicated healthcare team at a well-respected outpatient facility located in the scenic city of Pendleton, Oregon. We are seeking an experienced Hematology/Oncology Board Certified Physician to provide support for 3 days per week over a 9-12 month period. The facility focuses on high-quality patient care and is equipped with modern amenities to support your practice.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct hospital-based outpatient care and lead the chemotherapy program.
  • Perform required procedures, including bone marrow biopsies.
  • Consult on 1-3 cases per week.
  • Manage a patient load of 15-18 per day, ensuring high-quality care.
  • Collaborate with an experienced team, including a Hemoc trained ARNP and nursing staff.
  • Utilize electronic medical record systems, specifically ECW (EClinical Works) and Meditech.
Qualifications:
  • Board Certification in Hematology and Oncology (Required)
  • Successful completion of a residency program with a specialization in the relevant field.
  • Experience in outpatient settings preferred.
  • Strong skills in performing bone marrow biopsies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
License and Certification Requirements:
  • State License: Oregon (Highly preferred), will accept IMLC and non-licensed candidates. Must obtain an Oregon license during credentialing (Required).
  • BLS Certification (Required)
  • DEA Certification (Required during credentialing)
  • Clean Background and Malpractice History (Highly Preferred)
