Job description

Perricone Juices (aka Perricone Farms), a leading citrus juice supplier located in Beaumont, CA. We are looking to hire a Forklift Operator Lead to join our team! If you are seeking long-term, consistent, full-time/year-round employment, and you like a fast-paced, physical position that keeps you active with an above-average benefits package this is the place for you!


Pay Rate: $19.50 per hour + $2 Differential

Shift / Hours: 3rd Shift; Monday - Saturday @ 11:00pm to 7:30am; Rotating days off, with 2 days off during the week 

Summary:

As the Forklift Operator Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the loading and unloading of fruit, carrying out the following tasks:

  • Oversees all yard activities and coordinates resources to maximize production flow.
  • Attach fruit trailers to yard dog and drives to grade line.
  • Obtain tare weight from split loads.
  • Drive peel trailer to the peel room, when trailer is full swap out with empty one.
  • Unload trailer with fruit bin as they arrive.
  • Organize products in east lot for identification and production.
  • Feed bins, tri-walls or boxes of fruit to grade line for extraction.
  • Load product onto trailer for vendor retrieval.
  • Report in a clear and detailed manner safety or quality issues or incidents, and equipment failures to the Supervisor.
  • Maintains inventory of what bins, tri-walls and loads are on the property.
  • Ensures chemicals are received and handled by only trained operators.
  • Loads and unloads frozen drums
  • Works under minimum supervision
  • Conducts department inventory counts following prescribe procedures and routines
  • Uses computer/mobile unit to enter transactions and perform the necessary operations in Batchmaster (BME end user)
  • Provide input to supervisor on employee performance.
  • Follows established housekeeping, cGMPs and safety practices to maintain the quality of the work environment.

Food Safety Requirements/Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all Plant, State and Federal OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF regulations.
  • Assist in the maintenance of Food Safety and Quality system.
  • Responsible for Non-GMO SGS Supply Chain Standards.

Organizational Relationships:

  • Position reports to Shipping & Receiving Supervisor
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a food manufacturing environment is desirable.
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Licensed Class A driver
  • Have effective interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
  • Forklift and Pallet Jack certification.
  • Spanish is a plus.
