Counter Attendant

Position Summary

The Counter Team Member is in charge of greeting guests, taking & expediting orders, payments, and sales. Counter Team Members are able to present menus, guide guests to a purchase, efficiently serve guests, make/assemble/merchandise products, and provide exceptional hospitality. The Front Counter Team Member’s focus is hospitality and revenue and may assist with food preparation as needed.

Primary Responsibilities

• Warmly greet and serve guests in a friendly manner.

• Provide guests with a hospitality driven experience.

• Take and enter orders into the point-of-sale system and collect payments.

• Provide recommendations to guests with strong menu knowledge.

• Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions accurately, using cash registers.

• Issue receipts and explain pick up food procedures.

• Verify packaging of orders, including menu items and collateral.

• Follow all food safety and health department regulations.

• Maintain a clean work and safe work environment.

• Support management in maintaining adequate inventory.

• Have knowledge of all things CITIZENS including but not limited to directions, marketing initiatives, specials, discounts, promotions.

• Be flexible and willing to assist with other departments’ duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous food, beverage, or customer service experience preferred

• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward our guests and fellow team members

• Ability to work well both independently and as a part of a team

Physical Abilities

• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 35 pounds without assistance.

• Requires grasping, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and hearing ability and visual acuity.

• Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.

• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
