Job Description

The Director of Partnerships and Alliances will be responsible for developing, managing, and expanding strategic partnerships, with a primary focus on deepening the relationship with IBM as a key technology partner. This senior leadership role requires a strategic thinker with strong relationship-building skills, technical aptitude, and experience in alliance management within the technology and data solutions sector. The Director will drive joint go-to-market initiatives, support sales and marketing alignment, and ensure the company maximizes value from partnership ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

IBM Partnerships Management

  • Lead and strengthen the strategic alliance with IBM, maintaining Platinum Partner status.
  • Organize and facilitate weekly technical meetings to advance partner requirements, including agent listings, catalog integrations, and compliance.
  • Conduct bi-weekly marketing alignment meetings to coordinate upcoming events, promotional support, and collaboration with IBM sales teams to promote company services across IBMโ€™s network.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key IBM POCs at technical, sales, and executive levels.

Event and Conference Support

  • Representing the company at major data and technology events, including IBM Think, Innovation Studio, and GDS Summits.
  • Prepare supporting materials such as fact sheets, presentations, and attendee research.
  • Execute post-event follow-up activities, including targeted email campaigns and lead nurturing.

Sales Enablement and Support

  • Provide direct support to the sales team on partnership-related opportunities, including meeting preparation, note-taking, tracking, and follow-up.
  • Collaborate on joint sales calls and opportunities leveraging IBM and other partner ecosystems.
  • Assist in aligning partnerships resources with internal sales pipelines.

Marketing Collaboration

  • Contribute to co-marketing initiatives, including content development for partner exchanges.
  • Conduct use-case research and provide copywriting, revisions, and graphic suggestions for company and partner-specific materials (Datavault, ADIO, EE, VerifyU, etc.).
  • Develop and update fact sheets, presentations, and collateral tailored to partnership audiences.

Training and Professional Development

  • Maintain deep product and technical knowledge through ongoing personal training on company solutions, public relations, and company updates.
  • Complete required training within the IBM Partner Portal, including modules on Blockchain, Data, Technical Sales, and IBM products and solutions.

Operational and Reporting Duties

  • Conduct daily check-ins with internal stakeholders.
  • Attend and contribute to scheduled partnership meetings.
  • Prepare and submit daily activity reports summarizing progress, opportunities, and action items.
  • Manage email follow-ups and correspondence related to partnership activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in business, Marketing, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, alliances, or business development within the technology, data, SaaS, or enterprise solutions sector.
  • Proven experience managing and growing alliances with large technology partners, preferably including IBM or other enterprise platforms.
  • Demonstrated success leading joint go-to-market strategies, co-selling motions, and partner-driven revenue initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of data platforms, cloud technologies, blockchain, AI, analytics, and enterprise software ecosystems.
  • Exceptional relationship management skills with the ability to engage effectively across technical, sales, marketing, and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation development, copywriting, and executive-level reporting.
  • Hands-on experience supporting sales teams, including deal strategy, partner alignment, and opportunity tracking.
  • Comfortable representing the company at high-profile conferences, industry events, and executive briefings.
  • Familiarity with partner portals, CRM systems, marketing automation tools, and reporting dashboards.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities proactively, and thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
