Job Responsibilities

The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina is seeking an Associate Director for Graduate Admissions Operations & Business Processes.  This role supports the mission of The Citadel Graduate College by leading data operations, optimizing admissions workflows, and ensuring a seamless, serviceoriented experience for prospective students, faculty, and campus partners. 

Reporting to the Director of Graduate Admissions, the Associate Director serves as the operational and technical expert overseeing Slate CRM administration, data integrity, and process improvement across the full admissions cycle.  In addition, this role is responsible for the following:

  • Leads the annual application launch; to include, testing, updating, configuring
  • Analyzes the graduate admissions workflows and business processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and service delivery across recruitment, application processing, and enrollment operations.
  • Will oversee releasing and managing admissions as determined by the admissions committee and academic departments
  • Serve as the Graduate College's primaryfunctionaladministratorforSlate, workinginclose collaboration withGraduateAdmissions leadership and the central Slate administrator.
  • Creates andmaintainsSlate queries, reports, dashboards, and forms to support admissions tracking.
  • Conduct regular audits ofGraduateAdmissions dataand processes withinSlate to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with established workflows.
  • Coordinates electronic and manual processing of application materials,including transcripts, test scores, recommendations, and supporting documents.
  • Process deferrals, change-of-major requests, and otherapplicantsrecord updates.
  • Support graduate recruitmentinitiatives,includinginformation sessions, open houses, and on- and off-campus recruitment events, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor'sdegreerequired.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experienceingraduate admissions operations, enrollment management, or higher education systems.
  • At least one year of hands-on experience using Slate or other CRM tools in an admissions setting.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Excellentinterpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to workindependently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiencywith Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Ellucian Bannerand Slate.
  • At least one year of hands-on experience as a Slate administrator.
  • Familiarity with building andmaintainingforms, queries, and events.
  • Experience with Slate Reader and the application review process.
  • Demonstratedproficiencyinreportwriting, data analysis, and dashboard development.
  • Project management experienceina higher education or enrollment environment.
