Job description

Primary Responsibilities.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert in the areas of network and cloud architecture and design activities.
  • Lead cloud and network architecture and design efforts.
  • Assist the Government in developing business cases for new technologies and solutions.
  • Advise the Government on an information technology (IT) system strategy to meet business objectives and requirements.
  • Research and evaluate new networking technologies to support the CISA mission.

Basic Qualifications.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility.
  • Experience in network engineering and a minimum of 10 years in network and cloud architecture.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or information systems. In lieu of a bachelor's degree, an additional 10 years' experience in IT architecture and engineering for a total of 15 years of experience.
  • Possess a broad knowledge of network and cloud frameworks and methodologies that can be leveraged to seamlessly integrate into CISA's enterprise network and cloud.
  • Experience in developing business cases and determining the Return on Investment (ROI)
  • Experience identifying and architecting solutions and technologies to meet business and functional requirements
  • Experience applying the Agile and Scrum frameworks and methodologies in support of projects.
  • Strong communication skills with excellent verbal and written skills.

Preferred Qualifications. List additional skills and experience that are "nice to have" but not required.
  • Experience supporting DHS, CISA, or another highly classified Federal environment.
  • Experience with DHS Enterprise Architecture policies, standards, and procedures.
