As our Chief Financial Officer, you will play a pivotal strategic role in advancing that mission by shaping the financial health, data infrastructure, and operational excellence that support our students, faculty, and staff every day.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the President & CEO, the CFO is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team and a strategic partner to the Board of Trustees. The CFO provides leadership across financial strategy, planning, budgeting, information technology, data governance, risk management, and enterprise systems.

This role is flexible in location. Candidates may work remotely within the U.S. However, preference will be given to those able to work in a hybrid capacity on our Draper, Utah campus to strengthen relationships and collaboration with academic, clinical, and operational leaders.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead the development and execution of financial strategy aligned to institutional priorities
  • Oversee budgeting, financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and audit management
  • Monitor performance against long-range financial goals and Board-approved plans
  • Manage financial operations including accounting, bursar functions, payables/receivables, banking, investments, and compliance
  • Partner with the CIO to guide IT strategy and major systems investments
  • Oversee the University’s data strategy, analytics infrastructure, and data governance standards
  • Lead risk management functions, including contract authority and insurance programs
  • Provide clear, timely communication to senior leadership, board members, and external partners

RequirementsWhat You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s preferred
  • 10+ years of senior finance leadership experience; higher education experience preferred
  • Experience partnering with executive leadership teams and developing high-performing teams
  • Ability to translate data and financial insights into strategic decision support
  • Commitment to integrity, teamwork, collaboration, and student-centered decision making
  • CPA credential preferred
