Job Description Our client is a leading manufacturer specializing in high-performance composite utility structures. Their poles are utilized in transmission, distribution, substation, and communication applications, offering a lighter, more durable, and longer-lasting alternative to wood, steel, and concrete. They're seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team in St.

George, UT. Eligible candidates will need to be local to the St. George, UT area or open to relocating.

Benefits: Competitive compensation 401(k), company matching 4% Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance (CIGNA) Employee assistance program (EAP) Health savings account Employer-paid short-term disability Employer-paid Life insurance Optional additional Life insurance for employee/spouse Optional long-term disability insurance Generous paid time off Relocation assistance available Key Responsibilities: Provide technical support for manufacturing and support staff on quality issues Support other quality team members through training, instruction, and open communication that fosters a positive, continuous-improvement-focused work environment Support quality goals and objectives, including activities to identify, explain, and resolve quality issues Establish new procedures and methods as required to meet manufacturing quality requirements Develop and execute quality control plans to ensure manufacturing continuity and product conformance Generate data-driven reports and presentations and communicate effectively in both small meetings and large audiences Provide effective, timely disposition of in-process and finished product, and raw materials Ensure the quality of purchased parts and raw materials through receiving inspection and supplier development Support new product development and performance improvements through the Quality lab Track internal and customer concerns and lead corrective action teams in determining root causes and countermeasures Monitor process and product variance, advise production and engineering staff of deviations, and participate in corrective action development Review critical product characteristics and recommend modifications to processes, products, or quality standards Develop and execute statistical process controls using appropriate quality tools and statistical techniques Support communication and document control systems within the organization Serve as internal auditor for ISO 9001:2015 process audits of the Quality Management System Maintain Quality Control records and certification files Implement lean manufacturing principles, in support of the Business Maturity Assessment, to drive improvements in process safety, quality, and cost Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Quality or a related field Minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience Training in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, QMS, and ISO auditing Proficient in MS Office and engineering software, including Minitab Strong analytical mind, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills Ability to generate data-driven reports and communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences Comfortable working in an industrial production environment, including hot and humid areas within the plant Able to safely interact with heavy machinery, moving equipment, and limited movement of chemicals within the production area Able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate computers, equipment, and tools Frequent bending, reaching, and twisting, with occasional kneeling or crouching, as required Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds Able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and work safely in the assigned environment Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
