Job description

A Sorter Operator is an individual who aids plant staff in preparing material for processing, baling, inventorying, and shipment. They are familiar or can become familiar with a fast-paced manufacturing environment and working safely.

As our Sorter Operator, you will work to:

Segregate various materials including cardboard, paper, plastic, and aluminum in a fast-paced environment.

Keep the plant and areas clean of debris.

Clean equipment as needed.

Maintain a reliable attendance record.

Collaborate with team members to provide comprehensive training for new employees, ensuring they are well-equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.

Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Must be flexible

Required Skills:

Excellent teamwork skills

Good communication skills

Ability to stand for eight or more hours with the occasional need to bend or squat

Ability to operate in a high speed and fast-paced environment

Ability to lift 45 pounds repeatedly

Able to follow instructions as directed by the supervisor

Ability to work in hot and cold environments.
